Bernie’s Buddies was born from the love and courage of one remarkable child — Bernie. His spirit, resilience, and joy touched everyone who met him. Through his journey, Bernie taught his family and community that strength isn’t measured by ability, but by heart. When Bernie’s family saw how his light inspired others, they knew they had to share it. Out of that inspiration came Bernie’s Buddies — a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the unique needs of children and young adults with special needs. Our mission is simple yet powerful: no one should walk their journey alone. Our Mission We exist to ensure that every child like Bernie has access to the care, community, and opportunities they deserve. We provide resources, programs, and connections that empower families, nurture growth, and celebrate individuality. Our Vision We envision a world where inclusion isn’t just a goal — it’s a way of life. A world where every child and young adult with special needs feels valued, supported, and free to thrive.
